There’s so much to love about college!

But sometimes, it’s easy to forget that because being a college student can also be stressful and overwhelming.

That’s why I love romanticizing my college experience.

It helps me capture the beauty of little, everyday moments and make me feel like I’m the main character in a movie!

Whether it’s getting coffee with friends, studying in a cute cafe, listening to your favorite music, or something else, there are so many little ways to romanticize being a college student (and make the experience aesthetic).

And that’s what today’s post is all about!

I hope this helps inspire and motivate you in your journey as a student.

Here’s how to romanticize school every single day:

How To Romanticize College & Make Your Life Aesthetic

#1: Study Somewhere Aesthetic

One of my favorite ways to romanticize college is by studying somewhere on or off campus super aesthetic.

Whether it’s a coffee shop, library, park, garden, or somewhere else, finding somewhere cute to sit and work can elevate your entire mood and even help you focus better.

Plus, it’s a great opportunity to get some cute pictures, too!

#2: Work With A View

Similar to the last point, try finding somewhere with a great view to study from!

I find that going up at least a few floors in most buildings does the trick.

It can be somewhere on campus, or even off campus.

If you go to school near a city, you probably have a ton of options when it comes to cool cafes, libraries, and public work spaces.

Ask around for some recommendations of where to go, and have some fun exploring your city while you’re at it!

#3: Dress Cute!

Nothing elevates your whole vibe quite like dressing cute.

When you love what you’re wearing, you feel more confident, productive, and motivated.

A fun way to romanticize your outfit and have a main character moment is to dress according to the season you’re in.

For some examples: if it’s fall, style some boots and a sweater.

For winter, cute beanies and outerwear will do the trick.

For spring, babydoll dresses. For summer, sundresses and sandals.

You get the idea - use fashion to lean into each season and really embrace the vibes during each unique time of year.

#4: Listen To Main Character Music

Nothing sets the tone quite like music does. Need a way to liven up ordinary moments?

Play music when you’re getting reading in the morning, commuting to class, studying, cleaning, etc.

Go for a walk, a drive, a bike ride, and put on your favorite playlist.

Just enjoy the music and take in your surroundings. It’s incredibly relaxing, freeing, and makes you feel like the main character.

For some music suggestions, try looking up stuff like “aesthetic music” or “main character playlist” on whatever platform you listen to music.

I use Spotify, and there’s a ton of great playlists to choose from! Lofi or chill hop work great too, especially for studying.

#5: Study With Cute Food & Drinks

Next in my guide on how to romanticize college is my personal favorite way of romanticizing college.

For me, getting a cute drink and sitting down to work at my favorite coffee shop on campus is a whole vibe - and I love it.

If you don’t already have a go to study drink or snack, take the opportunity to try some different ones and find a favorite!

It can be something aesthetically pleasing, delicious, or both.

Lattes, teas, matchas, acai bowls, salads, fruit plates, and more are some yummy ideas to try.

#6: Create An Aesthetic Desk Setup

Want to feel instantly more motivated to do homework?

Try doing a desk makeover!

When my work space is clean and aesthetic, I enjoy spending time there and tend to be more productive.

Some easy, aesthetic, and small space friendly things you can try adding to your desk are desk pads, computer stands, lamps, pencil cups, keyboards, wall art prints, and a mouse pad.

#7: Make Your Tech Aesthetic

Don’t forget about your tech, too!

Having aesthetically pleasing devices is one of those random little things that can add a lot of joy to your day every time you use them.

Find cute cases for your phone and laptop and have fun customizing your wallpaper, screen saver, icons, and theme.

A really easy way to make your phone or computer look aesthetic is by using a downloadable theme from somewhere like Etsy.

There are themes for every style and aesthetic, whether you prefer minimalist, boho, pastel, or something else.

They typically come with wallpapers and icons so everything on your screen looks super cute and unified!

Outro & Closing Thoughts

There are so many little daily moments I cherish as a college student, and romanticizing them helps me celebrate those moments even more.

I hope you found this post motivating and inspiring so that you can do the same!
