Cold Weather Workout Outfits (That Are ACTUALLY Cute & Comfortable)

This post about cute and aesthetic cold weather workout outfits contains a paid collaboration with Alo Yoga.

Let’s be real. Working out when it’s cold is a totally different ball game. The bed is warmer. The coffee is calling. And somehow your motivation disappears the second you feel cold air on your face. The right workout clothes won’t magically make you want to exercise…but they definitely help.

Cold weather workout outfits should be cozy enough to get you out the door, breathable enough to not overheat, and comfortable enough that you don’t immediately want to change the second you’re done!

Here’s how to build a cold weather workout wardrobe that actually makes getting dressed the easiest part of your routine, and that still looks cute.

The Cutest Workout Outfit Ideas For Cold Weather

Outfit Idea #1: Matching Set

Not every workout is a sweat-fest, especially when it’s cold. Some days are for stretching, walking, light movement, or just giving your body a break. That’s where soft, comfy matching sets really shine! This adorable candy heart pink set from Alo Yoga embraces that softness, allowing for deliberate movement and rest.

To recreate this vibe, go with elevated loungewear staples designed for slower, more intentional movement or a cozy recovery day. Rather than performance-driven intensity, the focus here is ease, fluidity, and physical comfort.

How To Style Candy Heart Pink

Honestly, my biggest tip here is to go with matching pink tops and bottoms! This is perfect for cold days when you’re feeling extra lazy and don’t want to put a ton of effort into putting together a cute workout outfit (but you still want to look put together).

One of my favorite combos is a classic running jacket and leggings. These form fitting staples are super flattering and lay close to the skin, keeping you nice and warm while still being breathable. Pair it with basic white sneakers and dainty jewelry to keep the look cohesive and practical for workouts.

Outfit Idea #2: Crewneck Sweatshirt & Shorts

Alo’s gorgeous new Candlelight Yellow collection is just the thing to add warmth and energy to cold weather workouts. When everything outside looks muted, a little color can really go a long way. I don’t know about you but I definitely need that when it’s 10 degrees out and the sun sets at 4:30!

How To Style Candlelight Yellow

Mixing a soft yellow like this one with simple neutrals keeps your outfits balanced and wearable. Layer it with black, grey, or cream to make the look feel intentional without being too bold. Pairing this color with other soft tones like a light pink (looking at you, Candy Heart Pink) or baby blue is another easy combo idea that always looks super girly and pretty.

For outfit combos, I’m going with a comfy crewneck and shorts. There’s just something so chic about baggy basics like sweatshirts and sweatpants, and you’re guaranteed to be super warm and cozy whether you’re wearing them during your workout or just before and after.

I’m also a huge fan of styling loose, baggy tops with more fitted bottoms. This is such a good trick to balance out your outfit and make it look intentionally styled (even if it wasn’t). You can also do the reverse and style a form fitting top like a tank or sports bra with baggy sweatpants!

Outfit Idea #3: Long-Sleeve Top & Skirt

Introducing Anthracite. I’m absolutely obsessing over this color! This collection is for you if you love super down-to-earth, grounded wardrobe staples that pair easily with a variety of different colors, accessories, and styles.

You can just never go wrong with neutrals like this one. This is such a gorgeous take on classic black but a soft charcoal tone mixed in that instantly elevates any outfit. Speaking of elevating outfits, Anthracite pieces are made with beautiful ribbed material that adds the perfect amount of warmth and texture to your look.

How To Style Anthracite

For this one, I’m going with a mini skirt and long-sleeve top. That balance between breathability, warmth, and comfort is absolutely key for cold weather workouts, and this combo nails it perfectly all while looking chic. Just picture wearing this set for an indoor game of tennis or pickleball. Yes, please!

It’s also one of those outfits that works just as well off the court as it does on it. Throw on a cozy jacket and your favorite sneakers, and you’re instantly ready for post-workout coffee, errands, or a lunch. Cute, functional, and low-effort. Basically everything I want in a workout outfit.

Closing Thoughts

At the end of the day, the best cold weather workout outfits are the ones that make you actually want to get dressed and move, even when it’s freezing outside.

If your outfit makes you feel comfortable, confident, and cute, that’s a win! Don’t forget to check out Alo Yoga’s new workout pieces for the absolute cutest staples to add to your closet this season.
