Welcome to a night in my life as a college student! Hi, I’m Nikki, a third year studying marketing and journalism.

Today, I'm sharing how to curate your productive and aesthetic college night routine so you can end the day on a positive note, and set the next day up for success!

I like to keep my night routine a balance of productivity and relaxation so I can prepare for the next day but also unwind a little from the day I just finished.

If you’re looking for some inspiration to create your own college night routine, I hope this post helps you out.

I'll be taking you through my own evening routine as a student as well as sharing my best tips to make the most of your time after class.

Remember to pin this post so you can come back to it later! Alright, let’s get this night started.

Curating The Perfect, Productive College Night Routine

7:30 P.M. Get Home

The time I get back to my apartment varies every day depending on whether I’m getting back from class or one of my clubs.

Unless I’m getting dinner on campus, once I finish all of that, I’m tired and ready to catch the shuttle and go home!

Now that I’m home, I’m hungry. You’ll probably find me eating pasta, pizza, steak, or a sub of some kind.

I don’t know about you, but I can never eat without some sort of entertainment to accompany me!

Lately, I’ve been watching the new seasons of Too Hot To Handle, The Circle (one of my favorite Netflix shows of all time), and Emily In Paris.

9:00 P.M. Shower

As much as I’d love to keep chilling and watching Netflix, I desprately need a shower! My hair needs time to dry and I don’t like sleeping with wet hair, so I’ll get this done a couple of hours before I go to bed.

9:30 P.M. Homework & Study

While my hair’s drying is an ideal time for me to be productive. During this time, I’ll finish up anything I need to for school and for work.

This part of my college night routine usually consists of making sure I submitted any assignments that were due tonight, answering any work messages, doing a little bit of video editing, and writing blog posts like this one!

10:30 P.M. Check Calendar For Tomorrow

Once I’ve finished my homework and work tasks, I like to give my digital calendar a once over so I know what I’ve got coming up tomorrow.

This helps make sure I haven’t forgotten about any surprise meetings or appointments I scheduled forever ago that have snuck up on me!

10:35 P.M. Pack School Bag

Now, I’ll get my stuff together for tomorrow. I’ll pack my school bag with my laptop, chargers, snacks, yoga gear, textbook, or anything else I’ll need throughout the day.

10:40 P.M. Straighten Up

I love going to bed and waking up with a clean apartment, so that’s my next step. At this point in the night, I’m usually too tired and lazy to do an in-depth cleaning session, haha!

Instead, I’ll do light cleaning tasks like putting away dishes, clearing my floor, doing a light sweep, etc.

10:50 P.M. Hygiene

Now that I’ve cleaned my apartment, it’s time to focus on my personal hygiene. My nighttime hygiene routine usually isn’t as in depth as my morning one (again thanks to it being late and me being tired and lazy).

But I still make some time to change into comfy PJs, brush my teeth, wash my face, moisturize, tweeze my brows, and shave.

11:20 P.M. Chill out!

Whew! Now I’m really tired, but not quite tired enough to sleep.

Time to either put Netflix back on, scroll on Instagram, watch YouTube, listen to music, play with my cat, draw, or do another relaxing activity like personalizing my digital scrapbook.

12:30ish P.M. Fall Asleep

Well now I am definitely tired enough to fall asleep. Good night!
