Hello friends! Today, I’m sharing inspiration related to one of my all-time favorite things to write and talk about: seasonal decor.

To be more specific - fall kitchen decor!

I currently live in a studio apartment, so as you can imagine I don’t have a ton of space to work with.

If you’re in the same boat as me, don’t worry - you can still make your kitchen look beautiful for the fall season!

Today’s post is going to be all about simple fall decor ideas for your kitchen that won’t take up a lot of space and won’t break the bank, either.

I’m a college student, so that second part is pretty important to me!

Anyways, I hope this inspires you and let’s get on into the fall kitchen decor inspiration.

Idea #1: Display A Fall Mug On Your Coffee Maker

I actually love displaying seasonal mugs right on my coffee maker (mine is this single serve one from Keurig by the way - I love this thing)!

It’s such a simple way to add a festive touch to your coffee station without taking up any additional room on your counter.

This gorgeous pumpkin mug is actually from Kohl’s - I’m absolutely obsessed with pumpkin shaped anything, but especially mugs.

Idea #2: Fall Candy Bowl

What’s more cozy and homey than a bowl of fall candy?

Plus - it’s especially convenient if you’ve got a major sweet tooth like me, haha!

For my candy bowl, I chose this beautiful ceramic pumpkin bowl and lid set from Kohl’s - it perfectly matches the mug I talked about earlier which I love.

I chose to fill mine with little candy pumpkins (very fitting) but you can obviously choose whatever candy you like - or even make a fall mix of your favorites.

As you can see from the photo above, I placed my pumpkin bowl in the center of my stove so it’s nice and visible.

In case the one I got isn’t being carried anymore by Kohl’s, I’ve linked a couple similar ones from Amazon, including a white pumpkin bowl, black one (perfect for spooky season), orange, and clear.

Idea #3: Fall Towel Display

For me, towels are an essential part of my seasonal kitchen decor.

I have so much fun hunting for the perfect kitchen towel set with each new season!

Lately, I’ve been using the white waffle textured towel you see in the photo as a kind of “backdrop” and switching up the towel on top of it every season.

I adore this layered towel look - I think it adds just a little touch of elegance to my kitchen.

I'm also a big fan of minimalist decor, which is another reason why I love using a simple white towel as a backdrop for another, more eye-catching towel.

If you’re like me, this is definitely a technique you'll want to try!

For my seasonal kitchen towel, I chose one with a beautiful warm, orange gingham pattern.

I think the color ties in beautifully with the other pops of orange in my kitchen, and gives my space that cozy, farmhouse, cottage vibe that's so fitting for fall.

Idea #4: Fall Garland

If you have a space in your kitchen that you’re just not sure how to decorate, a fall garland might be the answer you’re looking for.

You can see that I’ve placed mine on top of my kitchen cabinets going the full length of my kitchen, and in my opinion it totally livens up my space.

Other places you can try hanging garland besides on top of your cabinets include around a door frame, draped over a table or a bar cart, on your walls (right below your ceiling), and draped over your windows.

For neutral decor lovers, this fall leaf garland from Amazon is a perfect addition to your home. I just love how full, fluffy, and festive this looks!

Idea #5: Display Fall Florals & Plants

I love floral and plant decor for any season, but especially for fall.

So, I’ve been switching out all of my green plants for neutral, orange, and red colored ones.

I found this very small neutral floral piece at Target, and I think it fits perfectly right at the edge of my sink.

If you have some random empty spots in your kitchen, a floral piece is great for filling it!

Idea #6: Fall Mug Tree

Anyone else obsessed with seasonal mugs? Or just mugs in general?

If you’ve got some fall mugs you want to show off, a mug tree is a super pretty and space efficient way to do it.

All of the mugs you see on my tree are from Target, HomeGoods, and TJ Maxx - definitely some of my go-to spots for finding cute seasonal mugs.

My mug tree is another part of my kitchen that I absolutely love switching up every season.

I’m super excited to put out all of my holiday mugs in a few months!

Mini Fall Kitchen Tour!

Well, I’ve blabbed on and on about all the fall decor in my kitchen.

Now, let me zoom out a bit and show you what everything actually looks like all together.

As you can see, it’s very simple!

Nothing crazy, just a few touches here and there to make my kitchen feel festive for the fall season while maximizing as much counter space as possible.

I’ve stuck to a white/neutral theme with some pops of warm rust and orange to go seamlessly with my kitchen counter/cabinets and liven up my color palette.
